And So It Begins: 200 RYT Teacher Training

I start my 200 hour yoga teacher training today. Over the course of the next 11 weeks I will be completely immersed in all things yoga and I am beyond excited that this day is finally here. I’m nervous too! I am already stressing about how I will balance work and training, but I have faith that this training will be so beneficial in keeping me grounded.

To be completely open and honest with you I have fallen off with my meditation practice. Through the chaos of the move and finding my way in this city I let it go. Instead of taking 20 minutes in the morning to sit in silence, I now grab my phone and mindlessly check my social media and email. I know this is terrible. The fact I know this is terrible and still do it is the problem. I also know how beneficial meditating is and I can feel the difference when I do.

I’m hoping that training will guide me back to meditation and take me even further. If I think about it, this teacher training has amazing timing. I need this right now.

I am ready and eager to learn and grow and I don’t really know what to expect, but I am diving in head first with all my heart.

I will be updating throughout and for those who are interested in where I am training, you can find me at YoYo Yogi.

Happy Fall and enjoy your weekend!

  1. Good luck! I’ve learned not to get too stressed over time commitments. Although it still ends up being the largest stressor for me. Hmmmm. If you want something bad enough, you’ll find time to make everything happen.
