Good Morning! Today’s the day! I’m headed to L.A. for Idea World’s Blog Fest and Fitness Convention. I am so excited to connect with fellow fitness and health bloggers as well as continue my personal training education. The next few days will be super busy and informative…I hope I can keep up!

Before jetting off this morning, I met up with The River Huggers Swim Team for a morning open water swim in the Willamette. We swam across the river, under the Hawthorne Bridge, twice, for a total of about 1.8ish miles (I forgot to start my Garmin).

It was the perfect way to start the day and I can’t wait to join them again. The water was nice and refreshing and the sun was bright.
Also, here’s how my workouts shaped up last week…let’s just say that I took things pretty easy!

Saturday

Sunday
Rest
Yikes! That’s a lot of rest, but I am okay with that right now. Not every week needs to be go go go. I am learning to go with the flow, listen to my body, and recover. Right now I am not training for a race so there is no outside pressure to be completing workouts.
I’m making up the workouts this week for sure! I’ll check back in once I arrive in L.A.! Have a good day!
And let me know if you will be at Blog Fest or the fitness convention. I would love to meet you!
Rest often times does the body good when we go, Go, GO!! I hope you have an amazing trip full of fun, energy and exercise!! I can’t wait to hear more about it and live vicariously through you :)
Hi Jessie! It was so great meeting you at BlogFest. And yes, I agree — we all need some rest days and some weeks just have more than others! :)
It was so good meeting you too Ashley! Good thing I took it easy the week before because I am exhausted from everything last weekend!
