Five Friday Faves: January 9, 2015

I have seriously been hibernating this week with temperatures being in the negatives. I am not a fan of the cold…it is not fun. We also got a good amount of snow yesterday and the roads have been terrible…people in ditches everywhere. But I am trying to not let that bring me down! It’s Friday and I am about to share with you my faves for this week! Yeee!

1. Smoothie Kick

Upon receiving the Oster Versa blender for Christmas I have been on a smoothie kick! I know, I know it is freezing outside, but that is not stopping me from enjoying all the goodness smoothies bring. They nourish your body making you feel so good! I love having one to start me day.

2. Friends & Gilmore Girls

Yes, Friends is on Netflix and I am loving it. I remember growing up and my Mom watching this show religiously. I have watched an episode from time to time (thank you Nick at Nite), but never the whole thing. I am having fun watching from the start. Joey has always been my favorite…so funny!

I have also been watching Gilmore Girls, the mother and daughter duo is so cute.

3. Picky Club

After grabbing a few Picky Bars a month ago to try out, I absolutely yummed over every bar. I was so sad when I ate my last one that I decided to dive in and join the Picky Club! What is the Picky Club you ask? Well, only the coolest group of people eating real-food energy bars out there!

Picky Bars was made by pro-athletes for all the picky eaters in sport (Jesse Thomas). You can read more about how they became to be here.

The Picky Club offers you the chance to have a set amount of Picky Bars delivered to your door each month. You choose the flavor and amount. There are also added perks to being a part of the club and they throw in a t-shirt with your first shipment. What is not to love!? Saving money, saving time, and eating good food.

I encourage all of you to try a bar! I just love that they are made for endurance athletes and they are vegan and gluten free.

4. Insurgent

I am finally reading Insurgent, the next in line after Divergent. I need to finish this baby before the movie comes out, but I am actually not enthralled with this read. Maybe it will pick up soon!

5. Begin Again Soundtrack

This soundtrack is so good. I find myself listening to it on repeat, it just makes me smile.

The movie is also very good and I highly recommend it! Keira Knightly and Adam Levine seemed to be a winning combination.

That’s all for my Five Friday Faves! See below for my past Friday Faves.

    1. I’m not too far into it, but it really jumped right into the story from where the first book left off. Since I read Divergent last March it took me a bit to familiarize myself with the characters and what was going on!

  1. I need to read the Divergent series. I’ve had the first one on my Kindle for months and still haven’t read it.

And I LOVE Friends! I think I’ve seen the whole series all the way through at least three times, and I didn’t start watching until the later seasons aired during their original run. But thanks to DVDs, and now Netflix, I watch it whenever I need a laugh. Phoebe’s my favorite, though Joey is a close second.

And I really need to try those picky bars.
